Peter instructs believers in 1st Peter 1 to “gird up the loins” of our minds. It’s about being prepared for spiritual warfare and it begins not with working out or putting on armor but by being in the right frame of mind. In 1st Peter 4 he tells us to have to the mind as Christ when it comes to suffering, very similar to the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2. It all starts with being right minded.
